I wrote this for luna_kitsu_blu's birthday.  The prompt was her OC Herz x anybody.  I went for something a bit different~

No title, but have some warnings for dub con, mild bloodplay and abuse of Eco.  And of course, this is AU, and pretty graphic smut.

The night was young, and Herz was drunk.

Well maybe not drunk. Just a little tipsy, that's all. It had been a rough day. Week. Month.

"Whatever," he slurred as he swished the last of the moonshine around in the bottom of the dirty bottle, then lifted it to his lips. Life was always hard in Haven, there was always an excuse for another round.

And fuck Torn and his preaching, Herz could handle his liquor just fine. Okay, alright, so he wrecked another zoomer this week, but he knew that wall hadn't been there the week before, and the FL officer that cited him totally just had it out for him.

Yeah alright, so Torn didn't buy it either. But fuck, it's not like he was the first FL employee to drink on the job. Maybe the first to puke all over the Commander's shoes, but hey, Herz was a pioneer of his field.

Sighing out a weary breath, he stumbled his way through the slums, weaving around potholes and scorched earth, ignoring the cleanup crews and shattered KG bot remnants littering the ground. Home sweet fuckin' home, a dilapidated shack at the corner of the palace ruins that leaned as drunkenly as its master, propping itself up on rotting wooden supports. The thought made Herz chuckle, a rough, tired sound in the back of his throat.

Swaying in the doorway, he tossed the bottle at the nearby dumpster as he fumbled for his keys. A crash half a second later told him he'd missed by about two feet, and Herz thunked his forehead against the door in frustration. This day could be over any time now. Lifting the key to the lock, he twisted it and heard the mechanism snap open with a reassuring whine of rusted metal; one day, he'd question the importance of locks when the door could easily be broken down with a hefty enough shove from a well-muscled man.

One well-muscled man in particular. Well, boy really. But hey, who was keeping track? Besides, since when would Jak give him the time of day. The kid was being run ragged by Torn, sent out on impossible missions, risking his life and his sanity out in the Wastelands, crawling through the sewers and braving Precursor booby-traps just to save the world. And now people were calling him Mar. The Mar, the genuine article.

The door clicked shut behind him, and Herz kicked a few bottles out of the way, struggling out of his thin cotton shirt with clumsy, overly long limbs. On nights like this, it was best just to fall into bed and pass out in a stupor. And right now, all he wanted wa--

The rattle of a bottle rolling back along the floor towards him made every muscle in his body tense. Glass clinked against the toe of his boot. Jaw hanging open in a silent gape of trepidation, his eyes probed the darkness, ears sinking lower in fear. "W-who's there?"

Silence, broken only by the rhythmic grunt of heavy breathing.

"I c-can hear you!" he called into the darkness. One hand fumbled against the wall, fingers blinding searching for the light switch. A sharp gasp of triumph, a click, and light flooded the center of the room.

A pale figure, hunched in the center of the room. Ashen skin, almost ivory white in the florescent light of the single hanging bulb, a stark contrast to dark grey, twisted horns and straw-like hair. Hooded eyes, endlessly black, trained on the dented bottle slowly rolling beneath one unsheathed claw. The glass clinked and tinkled against the rough ground, then stopped. Slowly, ever so slowly, those eyes rose up to meet Herz's.

Silent. Evaluating.

"J-Jak, you--"

The beast hissed, the promise of violence carried by the vicious sound. Herz's breathing hitched, and Dark Jak's lips parted in a foul grin framed with razor-sharp teeth.

Dark Jak's shoulders tensed, and when he moved it was like a blur, slamming up against the skinny, tall man, a deep, predatory growl rumbling in the dark creature's chest. Tears formed in the corners of Herz's eyes, and he whimpered out a terrified prayer, convinced these were his final moments. Dearest Precursors, grant me thy blessings in this moment of darkness, when--

"Hurk!"

A strong hand circled around his throat, and Herz's whispered pleas died in a gurgled breath. He could see his own startled reflection staring back at him from the monster's pitch black eyes. Was he examining him? Was Jak in there somewhere?

A throaty cackle, and Dark Jak sneered, seeming to revel in the terror evident in Herz's wide, chestnut eyes. He snarled, a threatening rumble, then claws unsheathed with a sharp, metallic snap, one thick arm raised and poised. Herz whimpered and closed his eyes tightly, praying his death would be quick.

Moments passed.

Slowly, hesitantly, Herz cracked one eye open.

The beast's arm remained poised, inches from his midsection. Around the wrist, a glowing tendril, winding around the thick muscles of his forearm, up around his shoulder. The creature hissed in fury and tugged his arm, but from behind him came a gentle, soothing murmur, almost a hum of pure eco itself. Arms of deepest blue slipped around Dark Jak's chest, almost backlit with the intensity of the internal glow. A blank, and yet eternally curious pair of brilliant white eyes met his, and Herz felt his knees buckle, his heart skipping a beat with religious fervor.

How was this possible? How was any of this possible? But then again, Jak was Mar, he controlled eco itself; legend said that he could forge entire cities through careful manipulation of eco ore. As for why he was here in Herz's house was an entirely different question, but the fact remained that he could not question the whys and hows of the most powerful man ever to grace the planet.

Dark Jak glared over his shoulder, and after a moment's pause, his light counterpart nodded, unwinding the single tendril of his wing. A leer of triumph, and Dark pressed himself up against Herz, forcing his nose under the curve of his jaw, inhaling deeply. A line of sweat trickled down the taller man's throat, and Dark flicked his tongue out, tasting the salt and fear. Intimidation. He did that.

It seemed to please him, and he drew back, a hungry grin twisting his lips. A gentle, too gentle hand caressed Herz's cheek, slowly tracing a line down his jaw, claws bumping against the pulse at his jugular, slicing tiny, thin cuts along his collarbone, digging deeper, cutting into flesh and rending the--

A flash, and Light was there, arms cradling Herz from behind. His wings curled forward, winding around Dark's forearms, holding them back, keeping him from spilling too much blood.

Herz choked out a sob, heaving in shuddering breaths of fear and overwhelming religious conviction. His greatest hero and the savior of his city was here, in his home, and he had no idea whether Mar intended to kill him or honor him. Tears streaked his cheeks and he hiccupped, moaning out a plea for forgiveness.

"Shhhhhhh ..."

A whisper in his ear, icy cold and full of silent promises. One sound, and Herz felt the tension drain from his muscles, his body slowly going limp against the demi-god holding him in place, arms looped around his waist. Slowly, the Light figure rocked him, lulling him, pressing soft kisses against the back of his neck, parting his hair with chilled fingers.

Moaning quietly, Herz felt his loins stirring without his god damn permission. But Precursors, there was a real, honest to everything demi-god here whispering sweet nothings in his ear. And was that a hand groping down his pants? Grunting in pleasure and rolling his hips, he cracked his eyes open, and followed the pale arm from his waistline up to the shoulder, and the grinning face leering at him from eco darkened eyes. Sharp claws cradled his balls, gently, just touching the flesh lightly, undulating and urging him forward. Herz felt his weight shift of its own accord, leaning closer to the gentle, almost loving caresses even as his breath hitched in fear.

Freezing cold tendrils wound around his thighs, brushing against Dark's chest even as one slipped beneath Herz's waistline, slowly grinding between his cheeks, probing and exploring. The boy huffed out a groan and tried to stop his hips from pressing back against it, but it felt so good, and his head dipped, ears low. "Wh-what do you wa-ant from me?"

A tinkling, delicate chuckle, and a throaty, grating sneer were the only answers to his plea.

The bitter, sweet, pungent stench of Dark Eco was thick in the air, and Herz jerked his head back as a hot, rough tongue lathed up the front of his throat, circling his adam's apple before dipping down to his collar. Dark snarled in pleasure at the reaction, and hooked his claws in Herz's shirt, dragging them away in one sharp, swift movement, shredding the flimsy, threadbare fabric. Pale hands lay flat against a heaving ribcage, and Dark thrummed in a deep, soothing purr, nuzzling his cheek there, feeling Herz's heart beat in terror.

Badump. Badump. Badump badump badump badumpbadumpbadumpbadu--

Sucking in a breath, Dark let it out shakily, then pressed a kiss to the exposed flesh. Herz shivered beneath him. He liked that. Hands explored, touched, felt, experienced, loving the pulse of blood and the shudder of anticipation, the sudden tension in muscles when claws cut too deep, the slow relaxation and bitten off moans as an apologetic tongue settled the wound.

One eye trained on his excitable counterpart, Light meanwhile continued his gentle, soothing touches, rubbing and massaging, tendrils winding around Herz's thighs and arms, one sliding down the front of his pants to wind around his hardening cock, another tilting his neck and brushing his hair aside. And yet another continued to massage his entrance, slowly slipping between his cheeks, pressing and probing, inching in slowly and gently.

A low, throaty moan told Light that he'd hit the right spot, and a sly grin was his only reaction before wriggling his ephemeral appendage, twisting and undulating slowly, gently. Another moan, and he began to tug and squeeze with the tendril coiled around Herz's erection.

Utterly at a loss for words, completely incapable of fighting back against the embodiment of everything he'd ever worshiped, Herz found himself moaning and writhing between the two eco beasts, hissing in pain and groaning in pleasure, hips rocking and grinding, cheeks flushed and eyes glazed. This was bliss and torture, heaven and hell, dark and light all at once.

The burning tightness deep in his pelvis knotted and pulsed, and suddenly his back arched. A whimpered, desperate wail was torn from his throat, and the climax ripped through him without mercy. Claws raked down his chest and drew blood, freezing tentacles coaxed more from him, pressing that sweet spot relentlessly until his lungs ached and his vision sparkled.

Slumping bonelessly, he sobbed in absolute exhaustion, feeling the room spin around him. Was this real? He couldn't tell anymore, and slowly, his chin dipped as everything faded to black.

When consciousness returned, there was light glaring through the cracks in the walls, birds twittering in an obnoxious morning chorus. Forcing himself up on shaky arms, Herz grunted and smacked his lips, his tongue swollen and dry from dehydration. He'd just get a drink and--

The dream came back to him unbidden and suddenly, and for a moment, his breath caught in his chest. The most terrifying and yet the most beautiful thing he'd ever experienced all at once, and his heart sank at the realization. It was just a dream.

Pressing his hands to his face, he sighed, then hauled himself out of bed, and headed straight for his liquor store.

At least, that was the plan. Instead, his foot caught on something and he fell flat on his face with a painful thud. Groaning as the wind was knocked out of him, Herz rolled onto his side, glaring viciously at the body on his floor.

Wait ... body?

Herz's eyes widened, and his jaw hung slack.

There on the floor beside his bed was Jak, snoring contentedly and completely naked.
